Presto Pete delivers YET ANOTHER classic trick from the New York Public Library!
According to the very same Discoverie of Witchcraft (1584) that we discussed in our last post, the trick is described in a manner that was the style at the time, “to cut a lace asunder in the middest, and to make it whole againe.” Other than that, I could not find much history on this classic trick. If I do find more info, I’ll edit this post.
